The statistics of the electric vehicle market in the US showed the complete dominance of Tesla. According to Automotive News, 79% of electric vehicles sold in America in 2020 are Tesla.
The best-selling model was the Model 3 sedan, which was bought a little more than 95 thousand times. American buyers have also opted for the Model Y compact crossover – more than 71,000 new cars of this model were registered last year. Model X showed the result in 19 and a half thousand cars, and the Model S sedan – 14 and a half thousand. By the way, it is possible that the flagship models will show a more serious result at the end of 2021 thanks to the recent update.
Curiously, Tesla models also dominate the Top 5 most popular electric car models. Model 3 and Model Y secured the first two places, the third was held by the Chevrolet Bolt with a significant lag, and the fourth and fifth went to Model X and Model S.
